  4. Hey there.
im an avid fly fisher, however i am new to the water of the Netherlands, im currently based in Loosderijcht and was wondering if you could help me out with what species i can expect here, and what sort of flies and draw methods.

    anything is a help
    thanks

    • Hi Ryan,

I’m sorry, but I’m from Germany. I don’t know much about the fishing in the Netherlands….
Try to contact some dutch flyfishers, maybe on facebook. I’m sure they can help you.

  5. Magic Shrimp: Another AWESOME fly. Rune’s (and your) shrimp are simply terrific looking although the tie looks pretty complicated. Darn fun to watch; keep up the good work!

  6. Great web page and your flys are superb. I was wondering…on your last fly you tied in 2013, a caddis pupa tied on a Klinkhamer #14, what did you use for the eyes on that fly? Superb!

    • Thanks for your kind words Scott! :-)
I used normal mono and burned it on both sides with a lighter to create the eyes.

  7. •) Where are your flies for sale?
•) Do you tie with Materials, Eyes, Dumbbells or Masks excited by UV light (390nm )(Sometimes referred to as ‘Glow’. )
•) Have you considered using a Fly Tank to swim your creations in? Every fly tier’s works l@@ks spectacular on the vice, but can they swim(?). So first things first, into the tank they
go to see how they swim at different water column velocities.

I LOVE your Works. Have you ever done The Fly Show currently touring the US? The Edison NJ Show in late January had hundreds of tiers. But only a few showed up and swam their works…..
My apologies for not translating this. Our languages are so nuanced that a misspelled or mispronounced word cold be disastrous or comic….

I tie flies for fishing, not for show. So all flies work in the water as they should. Fly tank always got just one current. Not to compare with real current in the river.
