I tied this emerger on a D1160 Daiichi Klinkhammer hook and gave it a nice fancy look for the abdomen. Great fly for grayling on cloudy days with not to much light.

This is a beautiful tie. Do you fish it in smaller sizes as well. Our mayflies start out as size 14 or 16 but then continue to drop in size until this time of year when the PMDs are size 20 and the BWO are 22 and 24.
Sure, but when the flies are gettin really small, it tie them not as fancy as shown on the picture. It doesn’t bring you more fish and takes too much time.
Nice variation on the emerger.
Maybe the ‚bump‘ just behind the eye can be made smaller?
